Washington (Kavian Press)-Ten appointed ministers by President Ashraf Ghani were confirmed by receiving confidence vote from Afghan parliament on Sunday, as Kabul the capital city came under heavy rocket attack, killing 14 people and wounded more than 30 others.

In today’s parliament session 224 out 251 members were present.
The confirmation comes two days ahead of the Geneva Afghanistan conference where international communities will assess the effectiveness of their financial commitment toward Afghanistan and will decide on future financial assistance.
For months the cabinet positions were managed by acting ministers and despite constant pressures from Afghan parliament and media the government was reluctant to introduce the appointees to the parliament for confirmation.
Many experts and critics see the rushed confirmation as a maneuver to influence the Geneva Conference participants.
